The Kia Georgia team hosts Next Generation Manufacturing for a tour of their West Point, GA facility – the only Kia manufacturing plant in the U.S. and the only automaker in Georgia.  The visit will also include a discussion with the Kia Georgia leadership.

The plant covers 2,200 acres with a total investment of $1.8 billion. The Kia Georgia team manufacturers  – the Telluride CUV, Sorento CUV, and the K5 midsize sedan with total production being 340,000 vehicles per year at this location, operating 3 shifts per day, 24 hours per day.

In additon to the facility tour, the Kia Georgia leadership team will join us for a disussion. 
Discussion topics include:

– The diversification of products that Kia is manufacturing, and preparing to manufacture, and their impact on the Kia workforce.  Including current and future planning in areas of recruiting, training, retention and skillsets.

– How the diversification of products Kia has on the horizon is impacting their supply chain and their partners.
