DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \n\n\n\nTakeda in Covington\, GA is one of the largest\, newest and most innovative pharmaceutical plants in the world – covering 1 million square feet of production space\, employing over 1\,00 full time employees and costing over $1.2 billion to construct! \n\n\n\nJoin Next Generation Manufacturing for a tour of this amazing facility that produces plasma derived therapies (pharmaceuticals)\, with a focus on drugs for patients with primary immune deficiencies and with a variety of rare and complex diseases. \n\n\n\nTakeda’s 160-acre integrated campus consists of three manufacturing buildings\, multiple laboratories\, a warehouse with ambient\, cold and freezer storage\, utilities production\, office space and a stunning\, two-story commons building with a full-service\, cafeteria\, coffee bar\, fitness center and patio.  \n\n\n\nOur group will tour the Takeda facility as well as the Georgia Quick Start Bio Science Training Center! The $14 million\, 40\,000 square foot Training Center is a key component of the state’s long-term initiative to promote and grow the life science industries. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required in advance.
